Our delivery charges are based entirely upon the cost of Royal Mail/Parcel Force fees per order. We aim not to make any profit on the delivery charges.
Even though postal charges (Royal Mail) are exempt from VAT, we have to charge VAT on the delivery charge as the goods being supplied are subject to VAT at the standard rate (20%). We also have to include a small service charge to cover any PayPal or bank fee incurred on the invoiced amount.
Thus, the minimum delivery charge will be £5.50 - this is based upon the “2nd Class to be signed for” small parcel fee charged to us by Royal Mail - this covers up to 2kg in weight but the size of the parcel is severely restrictive.
The next charge band is the medium parcel fee - we have to charge this out at £14.00 - it covers up to 5kg in weight but again the dimensions of the parcel are quite strict.
The next band is for orders greater than 5kg but we do not have the restrictive dimension problem! This is the band in which fall the Rally Jumps or Poles simply due to the length of the poles - it is charged at £17.50.
Examples of delivery charges for individual items
Obviously a combination of items can save on the delivery charges - the more you order the cheaper it can be!
